The DC Superior Court will officially open the first-ever satellite Domestic Violence Intake Center next Wednesday, October 30, 2002 at 1pm. This Center is a partnership of the Superior Court and Women Empowered Against Violence (WEAVE), the US Attorney's Office for DC, the Metropolitan Police Department, the Office of Corporation Council, and the DC Coalition Against Domestic Violence. The Center will operate out of space in the Greater Southeast Community Hospital and will allow domestic violence victims to obtain Temporary Protection Orders via web-camera to a judge in a courtroom in the Moultrie Courthouse at 500 Indiana Avenue, NW In addition, a range of legal and social services will be available to domestic violence victims at the Center.
