Michelle Brown Dodge, J.D.,
MSW, is a Senior
Program Specialist with the Office on Violence
Against Women at the United
States Department of Justice. She administers the Safe
Havens: Supervised Visitation and Safe Exchange Grant
Program and coordinates program evaluation, technical
assistance, and special initiatives related to child custody
and visitation in cases of domestic violence, child abuse,
sexual assault and stalking. Ms. Dodge has served as an
adjunct and guest lecturer with the National Catholic School
of Social Service at the Catholic University of America.
Prior to joining the Office on Violence
Against Women, she worked for the United States
Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia and the
District of Columbia Department of Health and Human
Services. Ms. Dodge received her B.A. from Wellesley College
and dual degrees in law and social work from The Catholic
University of America. She maintains a private therapy
practice in Takoma Park, Maryland where she specializes in
the use of play to treat children and families affected by
domestic violence and child abuse.
