Tabitha
Joyner began working with Break the Cycle in 2007. As
the Education & Outreach Coordinator, she educates youth and
service providers about teen dating violence and conducts
community outreach and prevention work in the Washington, DC
metropolitan area. Tabitha is a long time advocate for the
empowerment of marginalized populations including women, youth
and the poor. Over the past ten years, she has worked with a
variety of youth and community based service organizations,
recently helping launch a statewide bilingual outreach program
for the Florida Department of State. Tabitha is certified in the
Duluth Model from the Domestic Abuse Intervention Project.
Tabitha is also an ESL teacher and has worked in the private,
government and nonprofit sectors.
